A photographer's dream home

Looking for a luxurious home or creative office space? You’ll get both

333 Park Ave South, Loft 2D is a live/work loft in the storied Tiffany Building in Flatiron. The stylish home has been gut renovated, but retains its rich historic details and original character including dramatic 14’ ceilings, whitewashed, weathered, exposed brick walls, impressive timber columns, recessed lighting, and gigantic windows with north and south exposures. Loft 2D has impressive cubic volume with elegant proportions. This rugged live/work loft building is a wonderful, rambling Victorian Gothic gem, designed by J. C. Markham in 1875. It was home to Louis Comfort Tiffany’s design studios from 1881—1905.

In the mid-20th century its creative pedigree was passed on to a new generation as it became a center of gravity for the downtown scene as residences and studios for artists like photographer Jerry Schatzburg, who lived there with Fay Dunaway, and hosted the “Mod Ball” at 333 PAS welcoming the Rolling Stones to America in 1964. Other prominent past residents have included composer/producer Brian Eno, painters Norman Blum, David Budd, Salvatore Scarpitta, designer Angelo Donghia, and notable art dealer Richard Bellamy. Centrally located in Manhattan’s Flatiron District it is close to all major train lines at the nexus of where downtown and midtown meet.
