Every now and then the real thing comes to market, and this is it. A full floor loft in the heart of the Tribeca Historic District. It features keyed, private elevator entry, high barrel vaulted ceilings, a very livable kitchen, and cozy, warm bedroom areas. Currently configured as a live/work home, with three bedrooms, one and a half baths, this loft has many possibilities for a redesign with plumbing stacks on both sides of the space. Other shareholders have created three to four bedrooms and three baths from this same footprint. Use it as is, or create your own special Tribeca loft home. It's the third floor of a handsome, turn of the century, masonry and concrete warehouse building; an established and well run coop; with low monthly charges, and a common roof deck. Walk to great restaurants, shopping, Whole Foods, the Washington Market Park, Hudson River esplanade and piers.

Sad news that Macy’s Brooklyn on Fulton Street is closing. The original location of Abraham and Strauss. It is a building with a storied past. Part of a 30% reduction in the retail footprint of the Macy’s chain, which recently rejected a $6.9 billion buyout offer. It was reportedly sold at the fire sale price of $23 million dollars to a group of investors, with Thor equities recently buying a position according to the New York Post. Truly the end of an era in the shaping of Downtown Brooklyn.
